The MCYM Leadership Camp was held at Summit Lake Camp at Emmitsburg, Maryland on August 17 to 20, 2017. The theme of the Camp was Timothy 4:12 - “Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.” The event consisted of participants from throughout USA and Canada from as south as Houston, Texas to as north as Toronto, Canada. Talks were given by Marriana Leahy from the Culture Project, Christopher Thomas from Toronto parish, and Fr. Jerry Mathew. Additionally, there were several team building activities such as obstacle course, and paddle boating, along with daily Holy Qurbonos, Adoration and Confession on Saturday, and Q and A sessions. Throughout the weekend, all present were able to experience and recognize the bright and promising future ahead for the Malankara Catholic Church in North America. The participants left with renewed energy and newfound hope in the future of the Eparchy. Around 45 youth participated in this very successful youth event coordinated by the MCYMNA Board. Special congratulations to the MCYMNA Board for organizing this event.
